It's a wonderful experience getting involved with our local chamber. We have an abundance of extremely talented and knowledgeable business owners and not to mention the proactive and committed workforce within these businesses.
I joined the chamber and was invited onto the board which I stayed for 6 years and it was an incredible experience. I will still always be available to help out and network.
Albury Wodonga has been home to my family for near 25 years and our kids have a love for the area like I do. I love the people and that is part the career of choice I have chosen, helping my clients find their dream home.
I moved down here from coastal Woolgoolga to Albury in 1995 after selling our fruit and vegetable business. I picked up a job at Billy Guyatts selling whitegoods and in particular home theatre, TV’s and stereos in line with my love of music!
In 1998, I was approached by a local real estate agent to join the profession. My grandfather was an agent in Sydney and I always aspired to follow in his footsteps. Laurie retired from the business, things changed direction so I took the opportunity to form Wood Real Estate in 2004 and haven’t looked back.
We have a wonderful community, excellent opportunities for our kids and the area is incredible, although there’s no surf here! Instead of surfing I have found a mate with a speed boat, so I can now surf behind the boat!
