Topic: A Guide to Self-employment/Entrepreneurship

Most members of ANNC are either self-employed/consultants or run SMEs. The conventional approach to these businesses is often promoting one kind of work or projects. This presentation will help evaluate ways of diversifying your work portfolio while staying within the realms of a specific industry. We will discuss ways of promoting new business and work ideas and also talk about apprehensions around bringing those ideas to the light. The audience will also learn ways of self-promotion.
I am a career development consultant with over a decade long experience in the industry both overseas and in Australia. I have lived in five different countries and established my consultancy from scratch where ever I moved. I have been in the Albury Wodonga region for 3 years now and have been able to establish myself and my business with a strong foothold. I talk from experience and can empathise with my audience when it comes to entrepreneurship and self-employment. I am also a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA).
Having worked in diverse industries from Engineering to fashion, publication, education and careers, I bring diversity to the table. I am a qualified electrical engineer, fashion illustrator and a career development consultant. I regularly contribute to The Border Mail on articles about careers and education.
